Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, Boon Township covers an area of 84.93 square miles (220.0 km2); of this, 82.86 square miles (214.6 km2) (97.56 percent) is land and 2.07 square miles (5.4 km2) (2.44 percent) is water.

History

Boon Township was created out of Anderson Township on May 6, 1816. It was named for an earlier settler Ratliff Boon.
